H&C is delighted to announce that we will be hosting an exclusive live stream from both the three-star and four-star cross-country contests at the prestigious Luhmühlen CCI4* event this year across the whole USA. This is the only place you can watch all the action live online in the States.

Make sure you’re prepared by subscribing now to H&C US.

Three American riders will be riding at the German event, which runs from June 14-17. They are Boyd Martin (riding Shamwari in the four-star), Elisabeth Halliday-Sharp (on Deniro Z in the four-star) and Woods Baughman, who rides Maverick Mcnamara in the three-star competition.

Cross-country day is Saturday, June 16. The four-star cross-country kicks off at 8.45am local time (2.45am Eastern time), with the three-star following at 1.45pm local time (7.45am Eastern). Both live streams will come with expert commentary in English.

As Germany is six hours ahead of Eastern US time, this is a very early (or late!) start for US viewers, so the stream will be available for subscribers to watch on demand after the event on the H&C website.

We will also be running an exclusive hour-long highlights show from Luhmühlen on the the main channel (also in English) on Sunday June 24 at 9.30pm Eastern time. This programme will also be available on-demand online after it has aired.

Other top riders set to compete are Germany’s Sandra Auffahrt, Andreas Dibowski, Bettina Hoy, Ingrid Klimke and Julia Krajewski. Also heading to this key contest in the run-up to the FEI World Equestrian Games in September are British riders Laura Collett, Tina Cook, Nicola Wilson, Kitty King and Pippa Funnell.

The popular British-based Irish rider Jonty Evans was also slated to compete, but remains in hospital in a stable condition following his fall at the water jump during the cross-country phase of the CIC3* competition at the recent Tattersalls international horse trials.

Riders are particularly keen to get a flavour of this famous course as Luhmühlen is the venue for next year’s FEI European Eventing Championships, taking place from August 28-September 1 2019.

Catch all the action from this year’s top drawer event by subscribing to H&C now.
